My Ozbird, ( for which this website is named), is
another example. Its large patterns don't compare with those of my
five bat and five lizard set, or the set of eight beetle tiles, but
it is nevertheless a favorite of mine for its simplicity, for the
clearly figurative character of its almost geometrically straight-lined
outline, and for the fact that it , like my other supertilers, consists
of only one shape yet will tile in considerably more interesting ways
than the other supertilers. And I like it not least for its snarky
Homer-Simpson-disguised-as-a-bird look. Homage to Mat Groening.
The Ozbird's exceptional tiling versatility comes
from the added fillip that its point symmetric side need not be mated
with another tile's point symmetric side in only one way.
